Following the success of Buzzkill New Jersey, Joe Vrola Projects was eager to switch genres and make a psychological thriller called “New and Forever.”

The story focuses on a newlywed couple, who go on their honeymoon to the Dominican Republic where chaos ensues.

Chappell Bunch and Joe Vrola began filming the scenes playing “Lauren and Mike Murphy.” Their onscreen chemistry made it easy to believe the two were not only married, but dealing with the horrific consequences of a very unlucky string of events.

"Lauren Murphy" in New and Forever

Perhaps the best part of “New and Forever” is the film’s female lead, Chappell Bunch. Chappell had originally been cast to play “Wednesday” in the Buzzkill sequel, “Buzzkill Palm Beach.” After scheduling changes, Joe Vrola cast Chappell as his on screen wife “Lauren” in NAF.

“When we began filming, it was obvious that Chappell was perfect for the part. She is a natural actor and a kind and beautiful person, I knew audiences would become invested in her story right away. Chappell's performance was phenomenal and her attitude was even better.” - Joe Vrola

Chappell’s range of vulnerability and budding psychopathy was brilliantly delivered. This lead to her nomination for Best Actress in the New Jersey Film Awards.

Well, the phrase “it must run in the family” certainly comes to mind. When Kristina and Kyle imagined their dream home, while they roughed it in the ranch-style house on the mountain waiting for it get built, it is unsure if they knew Kristina’s brother, Joe Vrola would be gaining a movie set for life.

“This time I need you to act.” They agreed, as it was less awkward than standing in their own house, watching her younger brother do God knows what for the camera.

They did an amazing job!
