What is Next for Joe Vrola Projects?

"New and Forever" had its premiere on August 25th, 2023 at Basie Center Cinemas in Red Bank, New Jersey. The reviews were overwhelmingly positive, with many commenting on the pristine cinematography and surprisingly strong comic relief which softened the heavy subject matter taking place onscreen. At the premiere, attendees were gifted with a surprise trailer for JVP's newest concept before the film's screening. One of the most asked questions was if the trailer (“Something Wicked”) was real. Would there be an actual motion picture made or was it a fake?

Joe Vrola admitted that the trailer started off as a fake concept. “It was something interesting to air at the beginning of the film to throw off the audience a bit.” The venture was so solid, actor Dan Gregory ("Matt" in New and Forever) told Joe he should make it happen for real. They decided it would work best as a series. Filming on the pilot episode is nearing completion.

Later on in the Q and A, Joe was asked what would come next for his production company. Joe Vrola Projects struck a major chord with its first film, “Buzzkill New Jersey,” winning big at NJ Horror Con Film Festival in 2019. Joe stated that he wanted to return to the genre. “Buzzkill was more of a dark comedy because we didn’t have the budget to make it a true horror film. For my next project, I’d like to make something really dark.”

It is looking like Joe Vrola Projects will soon be venturing toward the darker side of the horror genre. Actors from both Buzzkill and New and Forever have signed on to the cast. Time will tell if this project will get the green light. The screenplay has been completed, but no other information about the plot or characters currently exists.
