BKNJ Review Bloodshot

Again, a film based on a comic this writer hasn’t read. Basically combine all the cliché, meta, self-awareness of the genre, and insert Vin Diesel. Still the filmmaking is superb, the acting is believable, the chick is super hot (KT) and Guy Pearce is in the cast. It should be pointed out that Pearce played the protagonist is the similarly conceptual “Memento”(2000), which is cool. Nothing about this film feels quite right but yet, it might be the most believable concept piece from the last decade. BKNJ Review: I Am Not Okay With This

While this author has never read the comic book that “I Am Not Okay With This” is based on, its motion picture representation was very solid all around. One could conclude that a bunch of interesting details from the comic were probably sacrificed to create the series, but there is still a bunch to unpack. WARNING SLIGHT SPOILERS Sophia Lillis as “Sydney Novak” is an excellent cast, even with the hair color being slightly off from the comic.
